How to Rinko
Packing your bike for transit with the Gramm Rinko Bag
What you need
Our Rinko Bag includes:
- ultralight nylon cover
- 2 100cm Gear Straps
- 6 Rinko Straps
1 Remove bags, wheels, and fenders
Frame bags can remain in place. Make sure to stow axles and hardware somewhere safe while in transit.
2 Strap both wheels to the frame
Strap both wheels to the chainstays and top tube using the Rinko Straps. Keep brake discs towards the frame. Try to protect the chainring with the tire.
3 Protect sensitive parts
Remove the rear derailleur, wrap the fork ends, and use spacers in hydraulic brake calipers to keep them happy.
4 Turn handlebars and remove seatpost
The goal is to create a compact package.
5 Attach carry strap
Loop Gear Straps around the downtube and seatpost cluster to carry in hand or over your shoulder.
6 Pull over the cover
With the bike right side up, pull the cover over it. Be careful and do not use force. Close the bottom via the drawcord and thread the carry strap through the top opening.
