About Gramm

We’re a small workshop in Berlin, Germany, that’s been developing and manufacturing ultralight bike bags since 2015. Partnering with Fern & Allygn for racks and other hardware, we offer bag systems and accessories for long rides and bikepacking over varied terrain, inspired by randonneuring.

Our products are designed for cycling in the most demanding conditions—from local brevets to ultra-endurance Mountain Races—with a simple goal: streamlined, durable, well-fitting gear that holds up over time.

We remain firmly committed to the quality and customizability that Gramm was founded on. Our custom bags and all frame bags are still made in our Berlin workshop. In 2022, we started offering a range of standardized bags manufactured by our trusted partner in Portugal. All our bags are backed by a lifetime warranty.

Meet the makers

Kristin Heil
(Founder, Bag Maker)

Trained in sewing and fashion design, and after years of traveling or riding the bike, she started developing bike bags in 2013 and founded Gramm in 2015. Today, she runs the workshop and the shop and rides long distances on the weekends.

Philipp Böse
(Head of Logistics, Technical Chief)

He’s been a very good friend for many years and one of the best people when it comes to finding sewing machines. He shares that same passion for collecting and keeping beautiful things alive. By now, he also pitches in and helps out like a seasoned, reliable hand, packing our parcels and taking care of all kinds of repairs of machines and bicycles we ride.

Tatiana Turchenko
(Good fairy, Head of Workshop Maintenance)

Joining Gramm in April 2023, She came to us as a cleaner as a result of the war in Ukraine. Tatiana is a former engineer at of the world-renowned Antonov aircraft and she now works in the tech industry in Berlin. Yet she still visits our workshop once a week before she heads off to her real job. Having grown very fond of us, she takes time to ensure everything is in good order and well maintained. Without her, it simply wouldn’t be nearly as wonderful here in the workshop.

Olena Savenko
(Tailor, Master of Bag Making)

Joining Gramm in March 2022, Olena brought 20 years of sewing experience to the workshop. She takes care of custom frame bags and everything else we make made to measure in Berlin. Despite having had to flee her home country of Ukraine, she always brings a relaxed and easygoing attitude to work and knows how to get things done. She opens the doors of the workshop in the morning and lets the first pot of coffee of the day brew for everyone.

Lotta Jaeger
(Tailor, Expert of good vibes)

Lotta is our youngest team member and a trained Dirndl Tailor from South of Germany. She showed up at our workshop door on the recommendation of her bicycle-enthusiast father in Early 2020. Alongside her studies in architecture, she comes to us to create custom bags that no one else dares to take on, while she spreading good vibes and freshness.
